Dr. Jamila’s approach to therapy is holistic and strength-based.  She recognizes the importance of paying attention to the whole self (mind, body, and spirit) in order to empower people to be their best selves, successfully achieve goals, and have greatness. 


She integrates traditional talk therapy with expressive arts, cultural arts, mindfulness, and other healing modalities grounded in energy work, natural remedies, spirituality, and self-healing.


Dr. Jamila has significant training in evidenced-based treatment and trauma-informed interventions, which she skillfully adapts to clients’ cultural background and uses along with individual, family, and cultural strengths to foster change.
